Ok I hear alots of ppl saying that feeder goldfish are bad for oscars and other cichlid so I stop feeding my oscars goldfish, however I feed 'em Rossys is that safe?
I know lots of ppl say to feed 'em guppies but I can never find them so I guess my q is... Is Rossys ok? (They look like zebrafish but clear)

been pondering that... I suppose if they're the mainstay diet of many centrarchids, then cichlids can eat them fine too.

Rosie reds are an albino form of fathead minnows and are safe as long as you quarantine them first.
This will accomplish 2 things 1 lets you weed out the sick ones 2 lets you feed them and make them healthier as a food source.-Anne

But everytime I feed my oscars live feeders the tiger oscar starts to get is skin peeled off- someone once sayed that was because i feed them to much feeders, so i stop feeding them every 2 weeks. now i feed them once 3 weeks and like about 12 of the rossys and still he still get like that. I hope thats normal.
