how should i heat my pond? im drawing up my plans now its about 1500 gal made from wood, ply wood, and a linner i alredy got my filter figerd out and theres plenty of space for heaters and im planing on insulation inbetween the 2x4 to hold the heat but do they make heters big enogh to heat that much water im open to ideas thanks

I heat my 1500 gallon ray pond with 4 Stealth 250 watt heaters. Stays at 82 so far and it's even in my drafty basement.

Insulation is KEY. Replace the plywood with thick pink styro sheets, and cover with the same at night.

I'm using 1.5 inch thick for strength, as I'm using this stuff over top the frame work in place of plywood. I use 3/4 inch behind the brick.

For Rays, heaters in the sump would be better if allowable. My LFS runs thousands of gallons w/a handfull of stealths in the sumps.
