I've got two over flow boxes with two 1" drains in each. Should I 'T' or 'Y' the drains together in each overflow with a T/Y connector with a larger diameter output (for example two 1" to a single 2")? or will this reduce the draining ability of the drains? I want to reduce the amount of plumbing to my sump but want as much flow as possible. Would I be losing a lot of flow doing this vs. doing 4 separate 1" drains that lead directly to the sump?

Not sure if I'm making any sense but any help is greatly appreciated!

This is going to sound weird, but a two inch pipe will handle the flow of all four one inch pipes. 1.5" pipe will handle the flow of two 1" pipes.

makes sense. I was just giving an example of the Y/T connector. So they two flows coming together won't cause any kind of back pressure/flow to impede flowrate?

pi*r^2 yo.
math: it works, *****es.

sure the area may be the same but from what I've seen, water doesn't fill the whole inner diameter of the pipe. I just want to make sure there is enough room in the Y pipe so that when the two outputs come together there is nothing impeding the flow. ;)
