i have a 95gal and running a 305 fluval canister, yes i know i know thats little filtration but no worries i do water changes and the tank was only running for 2 weeks so its fine i tested the water and everything and its fine! :) im getting a 405 tomorrow and im wondering how should i set this up? should i put the outputs and the far right and both of the inputs on the far left? explain how should i do this or give me a a better way :) i would really appreciate your work :) thank youuu!

I think it depends on what's convenient for you. The space around the tank, the stand, the location in your room, the fish in your tank, if there are any plants, all of these factor in to your placement also. I personally just have mine side by side in the right side because I don't have the space to put it anywhere else; the intake is at the corner with the heater while the output faces left but is right next to the intake(left) also. That way I have a calm area instead of having the whole tank being blown over with strong current. I like to have my current go one way instead of having two opposing currents.

I hope that helps.

If you need specific help, you have to give us more specific information also.

i feel ya, yeeaps i have alot of space! i got no plants just one small driftwood in the middle and the fish are ok maybe i'll put the outputs on the right and the intakes on the left? thanks for the help!

That sounds good. Where do you plan on pointing the outputs towards(both directly west or one west the other south west)?

Personally I like having an intake for each of my filters in it's own corner with a spraybar on the left side providing top current and the other output on the right side lower in the tank, having the water circulate like that really cuts down on any dead spots.

I have an FX5, which has double outputs, so I point one towards the top while the other towards the bottom. :)
