Know what this is? I have little experience with illnesses other than a little ich way back when and this doesn't look like ich to me. I didn't see any dead ringers in the stickies. He's had this for awhile ( a couple weeks ) and is the only fish showing any symptoms. I guess I was hoping it would heal up on its own. He's a 7" borleyi in a 125g with about 15 other peacocks. I do a 20% wc every 10 days or so and the water parameters are all good, stable for the most part since the tank was set up about 2 yrs ago. The tank has 3x emperor 400s, an xp2 for filtration a 350gph powerhead for added circulation. Temp is rocksteady at 80f. Any advice on diagnosis and/or treatment? Help would be greatly appreciated, I've raised them all from fry and would hate to lose even one. Thanks.

It does resemble damage from fighting at first glance but the spots/marks are basically unchanged ( no better, no worse) for quite some time. Looking up close whatever it is seems to be underneath the scales. I guess its harder to see in the pic.

What exactly are the water parameters? Please post the results. What test kit do you use? If you are using test strips, I'd ditch that and advise getting API liquid drops to have a more accurate set of test results. What do you feed your fish and how often?

Do the white marks looked grazed? Most injuries do not heal overnight nor a few days. Does the fish swim listlessly? How does its poop look?
