How Slow Growing Are Delhezi's?

Do they grow at about the same speed as Senegals?

Most poly's grow slow. There is no set growth rate for any species. I'm sure you've heard it a thousand times, but genes, water quality, tank size, diet, etc will all effect the growth of your fish. I'd expect slightly slower growth than a senegal, but you never know...

i had one that went from 3" to about 9 1/2" in just under a year.

same my senegal wen't from barely 3'' to a nice 10'' in around a year

as for the delhezi i can tell you in a few months thanks to a new pick up but they should have around the same growth rates

my senegal went from 2"-6" since jan. but my delhezi went from 2.5-5 in the same time frame

it really depends on the individual fish, one of mine grew like half an inch per month and me other one only has grown about a quarter of an inch per month, diet also plays a key role in growth rates

Wait until the del is about 5" and the sens shouldn't be more than 3-4" longer than the del.

as for the delhezi i can tell you in a few months thanks to a new pick up

me, too I've only grown one poly (a sen) from a small size and it was years ago, so I don't remember what its growth rate was.
