so I have a fully grown P. Tegulesi and I'm interested in comming it with other west african riverine spiecies, like various tetras, the big gabon shrimp and some smaller syno's as well as Phractolaemus ansorgii; which tops out at about 20 cm's. my general question is how small is too small when it comes to tankmates - without me having to go through the effort of digging it out of the tank and measuring it's mouth, so experiences, tips and sagely wisdom is most welcome, before i go through the effort to import what will end up being expensive food for my baby.

How fully grown is ur teugelsi? Would like to see that and I'm sure other would as well. But as long as the fish are bigger in girth compared to the mouth of the teugelsi and ur not feeding feeders then should be ok.

My 14" teugelsi has taken down smelt 2 fingers thick and close to 5" long, so when kno4te kno4te says bigger in girth, he means it! My rule of thumb is don't even make it close to an option. If it possibly maybe could fit in it's mouth, assume it probably will at some point. May not, but why take the risk?
