i am trying to decide on height of stand for new 135gal 72X18x25
i want as short as possible but still look good

last stand i built was 3 feet tall for my 31inch tall 240gal this is a real pain to clean
i have sliped and fell 2x cleaning it

I built mine like 30"s High, puts it at a nice working level (for me atleast) , but its all in how high you want it. The higher it is inside the easier itll be to access your stuff under it.

me personally, i would build my stand at 48" tall, but thats because im 6'3", ad i hate to have to bend down on my knees to see my fish. it all depends on what your preferance is.

the 135 is going to be a planted tank so it would be nice to be able to reach the bottum of the tank without aid of a step

and the room it will be in is a sitting room so eyelevel is around 3-4 feet
so a stand height of around 25-27inches total height of 50-52inches

i built mine at 36" because the tank is in my office and i have a high back chair and didnt want someone else to be in the seat, roll and lean back and smash into the tank.

I built mine at 28'" it s easy to work on and gives me plenty of room for storage below and possibly a sump in the future that i'm looking into making...

i'm planing on building one at 24-28" hate having to use a stool .

I usually have them at 36", I like my tanks to be fairly high. I have kids so I want the top out of reach of little hands.

Build it and they will come!! One thing i know i hate having to enter the tank to clean it. Certanly when you are on top of a step ladder, some day i might take a dive head first in the tank!!
