How tall is a full grown Oscar?

I know that they get a little over a foot in leangth but how tall do they get
I'm asking cuz I want to make a cave for my o but he is only About 3-4in and I don't want to make a new one every time he/she gets bigger

Im looking at my O now and id say you'd probably be right with 7-8" entrance so its got a bit of room.
