216"x36"x36"?

I am going to start on a plywood tank and want to get an estimate on the acrylic sheet I will need.
I want to do 2 96"x30" panels but need to know how to calculate how thick.

my acrylic tank size 4' L 2'W 30" high uses 1/2" acrylic and I get dizzy looking at it because of bowing. I'll go 3/4" or more with your tank size

GOOD LORD.... 1212 Gallon Plexi Tank ....Your my hero! :D Definetly be looking for 3/4 or 1"

Anyone that knows me will tell you I go overboard on everything:headbang2
I'll have to get a quote on 1" and see if it still within budget.

NO WAY!!!...

If you are going to build a tank this size than either hire a PE to answer this question, or at the very least talk to a couple of high-end tank manufacturers, not the guys that build and sell cheap tanks on ebay that don't last, and get an idea of how they would build it.

I'm not a PE, but I can tell you that my 750 was built with 1.25" acrylic, and it was underengineered. The last thing you want is a 1200+ gallon tank that makes you sleep with one eye open.

I have Tenecor tanks in the house. This will be a garage tank. I will call Tenecor on Monday and ask what the would recommend. Maybe they can get a few panels to me cheaper than local companys.
