how thick is your polyfill mechanical filter ?

I use 2262's full of poly fill that I change biweekly. Helps polish the water

2 layers of 1" in a wet/dry.

I'm planning on a 3" chamber full of it in the sump I'm setting up now.

In my trickle tower I have a chamber of 2" of bonded poly pads

The chamber below has 3" of filter floss. I throw it away every week or two. Whenever I can remember.

The pads take several times longer to clog and impede flow versus the filter floss although they are first in line for mechanical filtration.

In my 3x2262s I have either 3 layers of it or 4.. usually the last layer before leaving to pump I double the layers up..
