I am currently housing a queen trigger, i was wondering how thick i should make the sand bed for my tank, i am useing live sand and the moment,

dont think it really matters, up to you

yeah it doens't matter much but 2-3 is usually enough for any random digging that may occur, plus then you can make some realistic looking waves in the sand.

its usually one pound per gallon but most people dont do it cause its expensive the thicker the better but dont over do it like 5 inches or so... the tanks i take care of have about 3 inches of sand and 1 lb of rock per gallon

I have a DSB in my reef tank--6". Not good for digging fish though.
