Ok, I will be setting up an indoor pond(kiddie pool) this summer. I would like to start buying equipment(already bought the pump). I will be using a 10 foot diameter by 30 inch high Intex(the Target brand) kiddie pool. I would like to use a pond liner in conjunction with the three ply pool liner that comes with the pool. I was thinking a 45 mil. pond liner, but then I realized that I may not need this thick of a pond liner because I will also be using a pool liner. I will be stocking with an rtc, tsn, and pacu. The cats are the reason I want to use a liner.

So my questions are: How thick of a pond liner should I use? Will a 15 X15 foot pond liner work?
Sorry for the long thread.

You need a 20 x 20 and with the cats & being indoors I'd stay with the 45 mil EDPM liner. More piece of mind for a little more money :D.

20x20 45mil EPDM will cost you probably around $ 300 with shipping plus you will spend some time installing it and with all that overlapping it will probably look ugly too.You can buy this one at www.enkoi.com for $ 600 with the shipping. It is 8'x30"(950g), it is made for fish and it can be installed in less than 30min.Just an idea.....

Your loosing maybe 150g for convenience, but if you can live with that ok.

Liner can be obtained locally to avoid shipping costs (HD carries it atleast seasonally).

And DONT let your dog play in it!

I'd say go with a 45mil just to be on the safe side. Stay away from the junk they sell at Lowe's / Home Depot, might as well use a tarp!!! Tse Koi in San Jose has a 20x20 piece of Firestone 45mil liner for $220, not sure about shipping though...
