i am install my bulkheads in my tank, the glass is 1/2 thinck.
how tight do the nuts on the bulkheads have to be? right now i have them hand tight as i can get, alittle nervous about a wrench being they are plastic threads and all. any install before?

I would say hand tight plus a little "snugger' from a wrench. I would worry about the glass before the threads. I've only done bulkheads a few times, and I wasn't sure so I put a light coating of silicone on the gaskets. I'm interested in hearing everyone's advice on this one, cuz I didn't know what the heck I was doing when putting ours in.

Yep...don't need to be over tightened, that can lead to stripping very easily. Like you said, they're just plastic!

Like everyone said, hand tighten. The great thing is if they leak, you still can tighten them.I had 8 of them on my 15,000 and Camshaft Ramrod went under my tank and tightened them right up!
