I've seen many bichirs being obese or rotund in shape over the dragon/snake-like form that is typical in young polypterus. Is there a way to avoid such apperences. How or what could you feed to a bichir to obtain great size 10"+ for Sen 18"+ for Endli (or 1" per month), but avoid the obese swollen belly of overfed specimens?

Fish are like many animals, us included. Feed them enough to grow, but not enough to get fat.

I guess all of the bichirs I've seen as adults are typically heavier than as little tiny babes. I don't mean the cigar shaped ones that can barely turn either.

Even my two, not so new now, delhezis have filled out to healthy adult proportions which means they are not skinny little twerps.

How to avoid obesity... Just do what humans do yea? Reduce rations, feed less fatty foods(goldfish and superworms). Eat a variety of food. Isn't hard to find your answer by just thinking abit yea?
