I need your opinion about what is the best way to like hold the live rock together in a specific way i set it up. I ve heard about using tie wraps or sumthing along those lines.. but if you setting up a bunch of live rock on top of each other and you dont want any of it to fall on your fish? how do you hold the Rock toegther in your opinion whats best?!? Thanks you

Josh

Check petsolutions.com for types of epoxy (Hold Fast & Aquastik) you can use to bond the live rock together. They carry two types that will cure under water and are safe to use with fish.

I'm changing the title to fascilitate subject ID.

I've used the Aqua-Stik before. I think it's great. I haven't used it on live rock (I have all FW tanks), but have glued rock-rock, plant-rock, plant-wood, wood-wood. I find it works better if you let it cure out of water as long as you can (at least 10-20 mins). Doesn't seem to bond too well to wet wet surfaces.

Thank you very much, Do you usually Just dab it on the area when connecting live plants to wood? or do you like really gob it on there?...and where to glue it in relation to the roots?

.. and as for LIve ROck... Has anybody used Aquastick on Live ROck in SW systems?

It's a 2-part putty and hardener. You press it in place like a piece of Playdough. Just follow the instructions. If you're a guy, have a woman read the instructions to you while you ignore her.

I've used it in combination with a peg. If you drill a small hole in each rock, then put some in each hole and stick them together. The peg (PVC tube or plastic screw/bolt) will add extra support.

I find that after you work the holdfast into a workable state it's best to put it in the microwave for 5 seconds and then work it again for a second before applying it.

Niccccccce Thank you...Any pics of the what you have held together? or pics of what u used aquastick or anything like it for?
