how to break the bank with plecos ...

walked into my lfs yesterday and look what i found, 5 different plecos all over 12"'s and ranging from $155 to $200, just hurt my heart so i took pics and put them in my 1 billion gallon virtual tank and just for fun i told my wife i spent $700 on 5 plecos and she damn near **** herself, great joke and me and my brother laughed for hours. so heres the pics!!1
1. royal "thunder" panque -$200
2. platium pleco - $179
3. gold spot pleco - $155
4. adonis - $155
5. scarlet - $155

I love the scarlet pleco. If I did something like that, I would never hear the end of it from my wife. She won't let me buy any fish that cost more than $30. lol

I was just about to say the same. Thats a lot of cash for those fish. Maybe its just the US prices but most of those species would be overpriced maybe not for all, L025 aren't that cheap over here either. I have to say though the royal might get that kinda money over here, and its a really really nice looking gold line

The scarlet is priced about right, adn is, IMO, quite reasonable. The rest are overpriced, but sweet fish nonetheless.
