how to breed crayfish

well i bought about 7 crayfish there in a 29 gal tank i was hopen to breed them, all i know is the lfs says there common crays. i have the tank set up with lots of rocks and caves and they are feeding on frozen silversides. what do i need to do to help them breed?:nilly:

But seriously, what are parameters and temp? My guys breed on their own now without me "trying" to get them to do it. I just have them in room temp water with no heater. Seeing as you have 7, chances are you have both a male and a female in there but you might want to make sure. Depending on how long you have had the tank up, they might just not be ready for it yet. Or to young. How big are they?

mine range in size from 3-7 inches. the temp is about 78. they all seem to be staying pretty much to themselves except for 2 of them who apear to be fighting each other, one lost a claw in battle.
 
The two fighters are probably males fighting for dominance. The little ones might just be to young.
 
I have this creek by my house and under rocks are baby and adult crayfish! What if i through some of them in my 55gal tank? Would they be ok? Should i seperate them for a few days?

With that many crays in a 29 g you may run the risk of them eating each other, too. Be prepared for that. I'm still pretty new to Crays but I wish you lots of luck!
