How to breed Petenia Splendida

a friend of mine owns 2 males and 2 females of Petenia Splendida(Snook)with a couple of Pleco's and 2 couples of Cryptoheros Spirulum (they breeded already in the tank).
the tank is something like 230 gallons.

he provide them small feeders. every water change he put warmer water to stiumlate breeding but nothing for now.

I guess the secret is temperature..what temperature they need for spawn?

Not sure of the proper temp for them but mine bred at 86 degrees.

he's putting temp around 78 F

this is a clue.

My temp was so high cuz I had a 4" p-bass in the tank.

Forget Feeders. Feed more nutrices*** things liike. Brine/Earthworms/Brine shrimp/Blood worms/ect.
Raise Temp to 85F
Add Drift wood / or Peat moss to the filter to lower the PH

My male is breed ready at only 80-82 degrees. Does so regularly. Maybe add foods with high amounts of spirulina to help condition them for spawning. Also, what size are they? They won't be ready to breed until they are at least 5-6".

they're at least 11".
I tell my friend to raise temperature till 80-82 F.
