Came across these pictures while searching for above ground ponds DSC06275.jpg

I had one as my wallpaper and the missus saw it and thought it was really cool , which I assume means build it (seems logical)
But I am looking for some feed back as to how I should go about it .I have some glass panels around 1400 x 450 mm but would like the pond at least 600-700 mm deep and I am restricted with space which means I could go to about 2400 x 1500 ish for size.

The questions are endless do I go with brick like the pictures or concrete for the walls ,how do I seal it .I would like this to be something big enough for fishes that have outgrown my tanks but I dont want to give up to dams yet (murray cod , various perch ,catfish ,etc that can tolerate outdoor conditions summer or winter ) Yes I like aussie natives I live in sub tropical to temperate conditions but its hard to figure out exactly with global warming.

Probably wont get started for a couple months (to many other projects ) but as someone once said "If you fail to plan ,you plan to fail"

PS dont panic if i take a while to reply to your posts Life Is Busy (not to busy for monsters:))

IF you go to the article section and look at the builds by JohnPTC he does a step by step on setting up a block tank. The build in there titled something like "Todds 1500 gallon stingray in his basement" is a good tutorial on how to build one out of concrete.

There are tons of sealing options and building options, when I see stuff like this it makes me wish I did not live in an area with seismic activity.

Yes I thinks its Todds 2500... already had the link saved in my favourites but had forgot all about it . He used Sweetwater products which I'm not sure are available in Australia and I'd have to see how they stand up to UV exposure ( we have plenty of that )

Like the look of the clearpond product but will have to check with the company to see how well silicones or sealants bond to it if I am going to install windows. thanks for the link
