I used 10g with bubble running sponge filter, warm mid 80 temp, clean with 50% wc water and added epsom salt and "General cure" med.

What else can I do to help cure him?

Some times they go back some times they don't. The epsom salt will help the GC isn't necessary unless you suspect IP's or some bacteria/protozoan that is susceptable to Metro.

Yep, that's about it. As Tom stated sometimes they retract back into the body, and sometimes they don't. Epsom salt worked on the last fish that I treated, and it was pretty severe.

that's weird. So how long does it take if it does retract?

So I;ve been treating him the way we mentioned here.. It stayed the same and might have gotten a lil worse instead of a lil better if there was any change..

So I thought it wasnt working out so I thought what the heck Im gonna try something..

I put him in a 2 week no water change tank with a female FH in there. So when I put him in that tank, his 1"+ long intestine started getting thinner and thinner by the hours as he flex and fought her around the tank..

This morning, He dominated the tank and the 1" + intestine went all the way back inside. OMG!!! I cant believe it. But it worked!! lol that's crazy..

He's had this a week at my neighbor's tank before I posted this thread..

So then I just did a 75% water change.. The intestine started to come out again at 1/2" ...

Now I know it has to do with water quality...

so Im thinking To cure this you actually need to have the fish in well established tank first at least

With an external prolapse it's the wall of the fishes ass hanging out, not his intestine. That's why it's called a rectal prolapse.

Water quality is not the cause.

In humans these are some of the more common causes:

•Malnutrition.
•Deformities or physical development problems.
•Straining during bowel movements.
•Infections.

Also in humans, often times surgery is the only corrective action that can be taken. Which is also why Tom and I both stated sometimes they retract back into the body, and sometimes they don't. The longer this goes on, the less chance of a full recovery.
