How to care for aquariums with a injury?

Hey guys so i recently broke my ankle fractured in 3 places. the funny thing is it happened 2 weeks ago but i couldn't feel it because of a disease i have CMT which means i have a super high pain tolerance as well as not being able to run properly as well as other things but anyways i cant walk at all doctors orders i mean i can get up for necessary things like going to the bathroom. but is feeding my fish and water changes necessary? I think it is lol i mean i can get a family member to do it but i really enjoy it and also all the tanks are in the basment maybe i setup in the middle of the basment and throw food in all the tanks lol anyways share your stories and advice please!

It sounds like you are going to have to depend on family for a while to let that start healing. How high does the cast go? I used a knee scooter to get around when I had an Achilles surgery, but my house is all one level.

Once you start to mend, get a knee crutch for the stairs.

Hello; Had a neighbor who shattered an ankle. She had to go up a flight of stairs to get in her home. She sat on the steps and scooted up backwards. So I guess you can get up and down if you want.
I have been on crutches myself and could do some things. One of those grabber things helped me pick up things. I think feeding the fish is doable unless there is something different in the way you do this.
If the basement has a floor drain a WC ought to be doable also. I had a house with such a drain and a cement floor. Just siphon onto the floor. If a sink or toilet then some lifting might stop you.
Maybe refill with a hose?

hey thanks guys for all the great ideas i was out getting a air cast and crutches i managed to make it down this morning to feed everyone i scooted down the stairs lol and ya i got a drain in my basment so that works i think im ok to do wc and stuff now with the cast and crutches i was not sure but i feel really good in them also The Masked Shadow i only know of a handful of people in ont i see lots of people in cali tho anyways thanks for your help will keep you guys updated
