my male red devil has decided he hates my male bristlenose (the only other fish in tank), and is attacking it every time he comes out so i would like to move him to another tank, my problem is there is a huge piece of bogwood in there which has a hole in the middle where he hides and i can't get him out, the bogwood is to large to put it into my other tank, i've tried lifting the wood out of the water but he just stays there.
do you think if i hold the wood out of the water for long enough he will drop out of there.

YAhh when they get it in their minds to hide somewhere. It a hell of a time getting them out. Mine was stuck in a castle.. for days.

Lift it enough that there is some water for him to swim out to.

if you can hold the driftwood so that his tail is in the water but it's head is out. It will back it's way out after a couple minutes.

i'll give that a try :)

Agree with Bdreick. Don't forcefully pull/push it out. It would stress the BN pleco. You might want to place a net over the exit so that when he backs out, he gets net by himself. If he backs his way out into the aquarium, there is a chance your RD might attack him.
