I have a pair of 1.5" GTs in a 55 Gallon that I wasn't ready for a spawn, well they did and now I have free swimming Fry. I have left the fry with the parents because they are actually really good parents (mother and father swim around with each other and their fry and don't eat em). Question is, how do I go about doing my normal gravel vacs on this tank? I don't want to suck up any fry.

Just keep a eye on the fry when doing a water change. As long as you get majority of the poo, un eaten food and so on out of the tank.

1.5" ? wow.. I just can't get my head around how small some fish can be and breed.

just be careful when vacuuming. also make sure you add a sponge over the intake of your filter

You can also try the old manual bucket way that way if you do suck up a frye you ll catch it in the bucket and the you can put it back in the tank. Worked for me.

I do the bucket way too.

I also when putting the gravel vac in hit the side of the tank which usually send the fry swimming to parents and just do it again when you get close to the fry again.
