Ive had plastic plants in my tank for about 10 or so years now. They dont look as real as they used to. Should I just buy new ones. Or is there some way to clean them to make them look better? A little bleach maybe? Not too sure on what to do

buy new ones. i had a fake amazon sword for about 10 years and when i took it out it fell apart in my hands! it was like wrestling with a cracker the thing just got crushed. i don't think that plants are designed to keep for too many years.

I clean mine with bleach, or buy new ones. Soaking some right now to rid them of hair algae.

some of the plastic plants i had disintegrate when i try to clean them lol.
so if they do that, just buy another one. 10 years of service.. u cant possibly ask for more :p

I'm impressed that you got 10 years of 'life' out of them. I've found that the plastic plant with leaves tend to fall apart first, grasses and such seem to last longer. I've gone with silk plants in my 90, but some of the larger ones seem to have a problem standing up without assistance (zip-tied to sticks).
