how to clean your tubes

so i was wondering what would be the best way to clean out the U shaped tube on my HOB filters, and the rest of the tubes cause they get all gross after awhile...

any ideas? tricks? threads?

Many pet store sell brushes that are thin and will bend to clean your pipe out. Also I got some brushes from the dollar tree that work just fine for what you need.

i wash it out with water up one side then out the other..

Put a small amount of gravel from your tank in the tube, fill about half way with water, put finger on each end of the tube and shake, this will clean the tube.
