Hey, I have two gallon Jars and a bucket. After leaving a bucket with rain water outside, finding mosquito larvae and watching fish go crazy for it, I'm sold on live food. So I'm looking at daphnia.

The only thing I am confused about is how to feed them, I have seen people put a mixture of yeast but other people say that makes the water too cloudy and use green water instead. And others use animal blood! Any, what's your opinion on food?

Daphnia do better in larger containers, you also have to be mindful of phosphate levels as that is a big part of their breeding mechanism. They feed off of microorganisms so any source of that should work..

I have a rainwater barrel under one of my spouts that I use to water log driftwood in and they just happen in there, mosquitoe larvae and daphnia and eventually tadpoles when the frog's find it

Amphipods (scuds) might be easier, as they're a little bigger & so maybe a little more controllable & you can just feed them including gut-loading if that's of interest. I keep a feeder population in a 10gal with rotting loofah & leaves & bamboo chunks & bubbler, but previously had brood stock in mason jars. Note: they get pretty vicious at density, will eat your snails.
