How to cycle salt water tank

Once the tank has been set up,sand, filled it with saltwater, turned on the heater and started the filters, then you can add the live rock. What the tank needs at this point is bacteria
one or two uncooked cocktail shrimp Just throw them in the tank and let them rot As soon as the ammonia and nitrites tests both read 0 on the matching test kits, it is safe to add the new fish. :woot:
 
well I would wait a while I didnt start adding fish in my tank until three weeks after it was started and its was a purple and yellow damsel.....first I added water let the chlorine die off then I added salt to the right amount of SG and then I added caribsea live sand and waited... please dont rush it its not worth it?

very true you dont wanna rush it expecially salt water fish tank trust me! :swear:
