I'm just wondering , how do you determine how much filtration is enough for our fish? Besides testing for 0 ammonia/nitrite.
I just downgraded my arowana's filter, change my 4 ft sump into an eheim 2250 Canister filter.
my tank contains only an arowana , 18 inches. My water change is about 30-50% weekly, but i'm still not comfortable if the canister can handle the aros bio load? I moved my sump outdoors as our floor is made of wood and i'm worried also about the wight the sump adds.
any advise? also trying to save on electricity, so would like to avoid adding another pump if possible.
current filtration is only the eheim 2250 filled with lots of ceramic rings and some crushed corals, and an acdc pump , will be adding sponge filters for the acdc pump.
