i earlier had 7 jewels from which i got 2 pairs formed but due to aggression issues i just retained 1 pair for breeding purpose as i want to experiment on jewel cichlid breeding and now i just changed nearly 1/2 of water nearly daily to stimulate breeding,both male and female have turned dark red,staying in just 1 territory and once male is inside the cave and once female goes inside the cave and one of them always stand in front of cave as if they are guarding,they are circling round and i just can't figure out if they have laid eggs or not but still the water is always whitish,so i think that they have laid eggs but female is very much plumped up near ventral area and it is looking as if it is bloat but she is swimming actively and is eating well and even the belly is getting fat everyday so plz just help me how to tell that is it bloat or plumping up for laying eggs and how can i tell if she is cleaning rocks for laying eggs.i have many hiding spots and rocks,PLZ be quick to reply and just sorry for that long theory
