How to determine the sex of aro

How do I tell if my silver is male or female? I read one article saying males grow broader in the shoulder region and had larger mouths. Is this accurate? It's almost a year old now.

only real way to sex them is to watch them breeding or afterwards the male will have the eggs in his mouth that the only for sure way

there no sure way of telling what the sex of the aro unless they started spawning, usually the male has a large mouth in which he incubates the eggs after spawned
