They really don't look that alike IMO

Thanks bro.
I have a true pearl pup then. Hes 7" now. Was born last nov.
Hes on nightcrawlers. When can I start giving less food to introduce MP?
Last time I did that, he lost weight as he did not eat a lot of shrimp.

I would just continue offering market shrimp and not stop feeding the crawlers. If you want to get real crazy you can try punching a whole in the shrimp and putting a crawler through the whole then tie a knot. the ray will eat the crawler and the shrimp and realize shrimp isn't too bad. That is how I got my female on shrimp it only took a few times

I am very jealous I want some pearls some day

pearl and motoro is a hard one to tell apart. its like tiger and flowers? they are pretty much the same ray but have different patterns thats it.

my pearls were so similar to motoros except for the pattern, but also their is many different type of motoros species within the species. you probably have no idea what im talking about lol

Well it is a pretty distinct pattern. I MAY be able to confuse a nice marble motoro with a pearl but that wasn't the question.

There are a ton of motoro variants it will be interesting to see which if any get their own classification some day similar to what happened with P-bass. But I don't know anything about that either :)

what happens with the cichlids... pikes and bass espcailly is exporters give them fancy names so collectors pay more.i dont blame them its just like bds and leos of course the nicer ones are more expensive.

what i mean about the pearl and motoro is the pattern is the only distingushing thing compared to some motoros?? not all motoros are the same also their are distingushing features amongst them not just patterns. patterns are not the way to distingush because some species are so variable.... nobody actually knows they are so data defiecent

Thanks for tip sir! I will.surely try it!
