just wondering if there is any possible way of discilpling fish into not attacking. i have a jardini and its half the size of all my other fish and it still attacks all of them like mad. i know ppl say that u have to keep jardinis alone but i have seen a lot of tanks with jardinis in them with other monster fish. is there any way!!!! i really like my jardini. i would get a leichartii since they are less aggresive but thers none around right now.

Put it in with a bigger, hungrier fish... of course there's no real coming back from that. I use to have a johanna pike that was the punishment for problem fish. Only the ones I had no intention of keeping though.

I don't think there is any real way to discipline fish though.

there are things you can do to try to curb aggression in some fish. some examples include lowering the temperature of the tank, upgrading to a larger tank, removing all fish and rearranging tank followed by reintroducing the fish in order from least aggressive fish to most. you can also try removing the aggressive fish into a smaller tank for a week or so allowing the other fish in the main tank to become comfortable without having the aggressor around. this may make them a bit more bold and when you reintroduce the aggressor he may not be as likely to attack due to him now being the "new fish on the block".

there is, however, no way to change a fish's personality through discipline. ;)

If it's showing aggression this early, its only a few inches right? It will end tearing all your fish up. Mine was fine at first, then turned into a beast at about 8 or 9 inches.

I have seen a Red Devil take on an Oscar almost a 1/3 more the size of itself, A flower horn and a wolf fish all at once, it was in the tank for 12 hours and in the morning, the Red Devil dominated the tank. The wolf fish was just a huge coward afterwards. So it depends on wether or not you have something so aggressive it demasculanates it.

Could try getting him a g/f LOL

Put him in the corner for a time out.
