Hey everyone,

So I am trying to decide how to divide up my fish in my two tanks, 140 and 55 gallons. I currently have the following in my 140:
1 jag - 3-4 inches
1 cuban- 7 inches
1 GT - 5 inches
2 convicts- under 3.5 inches

In my 55 I have a wolf fish that is about 6 or 7 inches.

I was thinking about moving my convicts and/or GT into the 55, and moving the wolf into the 140. This won't be until the wolf grows more, but I'm just trying to make future plans. I was wondering how you guys would suggest splitting the fish up. I just don't see how the 55 will be good for life for the wolf, even though I heard a lot of people say it was. I might also consider getting rid of the convicts because they cause a lot of chaos in the tank when they breed.

They sell tank dividers for 55Gs, but if it's for the 140 then you're gonna have to cut something.....

I think he was asking how he should split up his stock between the two tanks, not how to divide an aquarium.

What kind of wolf fish is it?

I would get rid of the wolf. You were misinformed, red wolf fish are the species that can live in a 55. Your malabaricus will outgrow both of your tanks and it will eat or kill all of the fish you have in the process.
