how to feed ottos

I've had 5 of them for about 4-5 days. I was wondering how i should feed them? they have destroyed almost all the algae and when that runs out i have algae pellets but they dont chase it down or anything, they just ignore it. So will they just eventaully get to it or what?

You could also try zucchini

what other veges or fruits could i try? and how do i "blanch" them?

my ottos use to love algea wafers, they wont like run to it but eventually after a while they go exploring find it and start eating.

Blanch means to boil very briefly, say for less than a min.

it is also better to feed them at night after you turn out the lights
