how to feed?

my ornate has trouble gettin food. i have him wit a few mixed cichlids. so everytime i put food in its all gobbled up by the cichlids. so what can i do to feed him.. i usually have to put in a bunch of rosies for him to get one or two.

instead of putting it all im at a time, try it in litle bunches, and then drop the food thru a tube right in front of the bichir(make sure it sinks, duh) ive never had to do this but i hear that it works.

you can feed him what you want at night -leave a bit of a gap from lights out. The cichlids won't know whats going on but the the Ornate will be active. I've also resorted to using tongs in the past to hand the food right to its mouth.

ive noticed that if i put some food in that goes behind rocks and deep in the plants he gets food in there all the time try spreading whatever you feed all around the tank or mainly to where he is maybe

My endi is a slow eater too. So I only feed him at night, after all the light are turn off. That's the only way for mine or else the food won't reach his month

or you can lower a pvc tube with food in it and only the bichir can go in
