I want to use the bathtub for filling my tank it would be much quicker and water is softened both cold and hot vs the kitchen sink slow and softened on hot side only.
But the tub is akward you just cant screw A hose on it how do I do it

Submersible pump and a length of hose. How far is the tank from the bathroom, and is the tub used for bathing? I would be concerned about residue from soaps and cleaners.

I wouldn't do it at all. Soap residue can kill fish and amphibians

You could just place a plastic tote under the faucet and pump the water from the tote. Other than removing the spout and threading a diy coupler to it. I would think that would be the best option.

The tank is about 30 feet from the tub I definatly do not want to put the water in tub I was hoping to find A way to hook the hose directly to the faucet.
My second choice would be using A pump to pump it out of A bucket that the water dumps into.

Any ideas for the hose I don't want to use A garden hose I am worried about what chemicals they use on the inside of it.
The clear stuff that is used on A python when you go yo about A inch hose gets pretty expensive when you go to 30+ feet
There has to be something safe and big enough that isn't too badly priced

Garden hoses are fine. Been using them for around 35 years. Never ever had a problem.

maybe its just me but i'd be confident that a garden hose would be fine, maybe run some water through it a while first to get any plastic bits. is there a sink in the room the tub is in? could you use that?
