how to filter bare 300g

i am going to be getting a 300 gallon tank pretty soon and i was wondering how to filter it with a silver aro, fh, pike cichlid and maybe some large cat fish its going to be bar i have thought about making my old 55g into a wet/dry filter

A wet dry would be good for such a large tank. However its still the filter media that counts. So most importantly invest in good filter media and you should be fine.
