My dad found a FREE 75 gallon aquarium at his work. Here's the catch. The top frame (plastic) is broken right in the middle. Like where the light will sit on. How would i go around fixing this. I know I can buy a metal frame, just how do i remove the existing one?? thanks.

yes you can take the old one off !i did it to my 55.i took a pair of needle nose pliers and broke off about 1/2 inch of one side of the needle nose.then i broke off the top plastic from the inside with the broke part of the needle nose under the top i will post you a pic in a few minutes to show you but you can do it

once you get the ineer ring of the top off the outer goes real quick just go slow and take your time no rush

patch it with plexiglass.. use stainless steel screws or epoxy to hold it together..
