I was going to suggest barley in some form but you seem to already have some in there.

What would be barley? My floating plants?

No.It comes in the form of pellets, liquid, and whole.I thought that ball of stuff to the left of your fish was barley but I guess not.

Golden grass carp, or regular grass carp. they are a skinny looking Asian species of carp that will get rid of almost any kind of algae from a pond. they work wonders.

I was going to buy a canopy to cover the pond so that it doesn't get as much sun? I will look up grass carp and Barley thanks!
