The LFS i bought him from trained him to eat carnivore pellets. I tried to feed him frozen bloodworms the first day i got him and no luck, the second day i tried earthworms from the garden and no luck there, last night i tried the carnivore pellets and i found them untouched in the morning. The way i have been feeding him is by turning on one light to see where he is, then i drop the food near his mouth just to make sure he'll notice it and then i turn off the lights and walk away, but when i come back to check in the morning his food is still there. His tankmates are a BGK and a smaller zig zag eel ( 3inches who eats fine even during the day)
