ok this is the deal, me and my dad found us a jon boat on craigslist and picked it up monday, problem is the guy that we bought it from wasnt the last person to have it registered. he got the boat from another guy as a trade for some work, i have our bill of sale and also the bill of sale that the the guy we bought it from had from when he took it in on a trade. also have the last temp. registration card for the boat. so my question is do i have to go back to the guy that last had the boat registered and get a bill of sale or somthing from him to get my boat re registered? i have the guys address and everything i hopefully would be able to find him fairly easily. ill post pics of the boat later, its stripped down right now, but we got a pretty good deal on it, 14 foot flat bottom aluminum boat, trailer, 18 hp johnson, 40lb thrust foot controlled trolling motor, eagle fish finder, and seats for $600

Not sure how its done in Ga but in SC as long as you have the registration card you can give them a copy of the card and the hull ID number, they can register the boat in your name and have new titles made.
