I got a creamsickle midevil yesterday and it seems to have gotten to me pretty fast. Yesterday while rearranging my tank for my ray . It let me pet it. I tried to hand feed but it seemed iffy about taking it but once I let it go it would eat it . How can I get it to trust me more or is it some thing that will take time.

Just keep doing what you're doing. In time he'll learn to trust more and more. I have a Kamfa FH that has gotten so used to me that he won't leave me alone even in a 240 gallon tank. I have to watch out for him as I aquascape and scrape algae because he follows me around like a lost puppy.

itll take time. also, think about if you actually want to train that habit. I taught my O to hand feed, now I cant clean my tank without him biting at my fingers looking for food, I didnt care when he was smaller but now he draws blood and Im tired of the new scars lol. Patience and a steady hand, if hes timid he wont like quick movements and theyll learn eventually

I havnt done anything to train my wet pets but my eels, O and Aro all eat from my hand. And I agree the Oscar sux now that hes bigger and trying to find food while cleaning

I was thinking avout that cause my wife chages the water some times and she was telling me the fish is too big she wont do it on her tank cause she is scared of getting bit.

You just got him yesterday. Give it time. I remember before I had an O when I was 10 (first fish ever). He would eat from my hand but from anyone else's. They have to let the food go otherwise he will ignore them. But when I come up to the tank he gets so excited water splashes everywhere.
