How to get an airport shipping account..????

For those of you guys shipping rays via the airlines... how did you acquire the account? they want to do a premises check... they need a tax id number and all this craziness... did you bend the rules a little? i need to get an account no matter what it takes but im having alot harder of a time then i thought... any info would be much appreciated... thanks in advance!

american airlines will let you ship with no account most of the time. PM fishdog, he can tell you what code to ship under using them.
I have used them numerous times, but had one clerk the last time would not let me do it. i also think delta will let you with no account.

yea, you have to talk with right people. Something about wont ship cold blooded animals without acct. but fish are in a different class and you have to know what class to put it in while booking.

Got to make sure you arent saying ANIMAL, got to make it clear its just fish.

Delta Cargo has an exception to having an account if its a live tropical fish. You need to call there cargo booking people and specify that its a live tropical fish, if they say you need an account ask to speak to there supervisor, they don't all know what they are talking about there. Call 800-352-2746 and hit option 6 for there live animals dept, best chance of finding someone who knows what they are doing.

I have an account with Southwest Cargo, there signup process was rather silly, but not difficult. You just have to call them up and tell them you want an account, the will have a third party contact you to send someone out for a "site inspection". A guy came out to my house, stood in my living room, made a photocopy of my drivers license and a utility bill, and then left, that was the site inspection. You can sign up with a personal account with them.
