I have this long stalk with three baby plants on it and two have little roots. There maybe 2.5 inches tall? How do I get them off the mother plant without killing them? And is it even time to cuttem off? Give me some tips pleeeassseeeeeee.

This is me....:nilly:

I've found that if you take the leaves off of the mother plant(about 4 or so of them, depending what kind of plant you have) and bury that part of the plant as well, roots will grow and you can disconnect the plant by the smaller plant, as there will be roots for the mother plant.
you may or may not want to do this depending on how high the baby plant is on the mother plant.

Amazon swords. sorry. It stalk is pretty high up. 14 inches, but it the main plant is like 8. Cut the whole stalk off, or what? I need details please cuz I dont want to kill the little plants.

Pop head: Just cut one leaf off? Or am I missing something

All you need to do is wait for the plants to have roots, and then you can clip them. They can be clipped earlier, but will not do as well.

sooo...
is the baby plant just deviding itself off of the main plant? or off of a runner?
if it's just deviding then when it's about 1/2 the size as the adult you can break them apart.
if it's on a runner it's pretty much the same deal, when it gets to about 1/2 the size of the main plant, cut it off of the runner. if there are multiple baby plants on the runner AFTER the one baby plant, then maybe wait till it's a little bigger so that the first baby plant can support the smaller plants.

whats a runner? Sorry I dont know this stuff

You do not need to wait that long. Once the daughter plants on the runner (thick stem that produces new plants) grow their own roots, then they will be able to self sustain, and can all be cut apart. They do not need the parent plant in order to survive once they have established roots.

Ok. The thing I was talking about was a runner. So I cut the whole runner off or the little 3 individual plants of the runner. Also, how do I cut them? I dont have the plant clippers but can I use house hold scissors? And where to cut exactly?
