i have a few kool lookin pices if drift wood that used to be in my lizard aquarium way bac when and i want to put it into my 29 and i dont know how to get it to stay on the bottom can anyone help me out here please?

If it's floating, then you just have to soak it in a bucket or something and just wait.

I had a driftwood which floated and after about a month of soaking, it sunk.

So yes, be patient.

On the other hand, another only took a day.

Good luck =]

It'll eventually sink. If you are feeling impatient you can tie it down to a rock using fishing line. i hope your driftwood isn't mopani. if it is it'll release tannins more than any other type of driftwood and your water will turn to a very dark brown.

I second the mopani, I just got one recently and it is making every bucket of water brown so far.

I'm still waiting lol.

i had one fo those manopoi things and the fish tank looked like it was full of tea...

Other things you can try are attach it to a piece of slate rock, or boil it to make it soak up the water more quickly.

not sure if i could boil them because they r all over 1' long

i just put them into a tub of water and have a rock holding them down i hpope i can use them soon
