Alright so I may order a snakehead online, and I was wondering if I should get it shipped with 2 day Fedex, General booking airport to airport or pre booking airport to airport.

Fedex is about 60$ General booking is about 50-60$ and pre booking is 100$ but its the only option that offers live arrival guarantee with the seller.

Would the snakehead be okay on general booking if it took a couple days to get to my house?

Sorry guess this should have went in the buy and sell forum..

You would want to get it as soon as possible. I tend to doubt it would survive for a few days. I would recomend overnight, or at most 2 day.

And before people chime in about Snakehead being illegal, make sure you notice the OP is in Canada.

Alright makes sense, I guess I will just go with the 100$ fastest shipping

Yeah,if you can afford it then you might as well go with the fastest shipping option.

Spend the money and get the fastest shipping possible. I figure it this way..... if it is worth going through the effort of having it shipped in the first place, then it should be worth the extra $$ to make sure it arrives alive.

yeah see i can't really afford it unless its the only thin. i get. i would just have no money left over and if i can ship with fedex and know it will be fine then i would rather do that...

Would all depend on how big it is. I just got a 8 inch midas from rapps about a month ago two day shipping and it arrived in perfect health. wouldnt do two day on any thing bigger then that

The website says 5-6" So your saying it would probly be OK with the Fedex 2 days?

If the shipper knows what he is doing and the temps are not too extreme 2nd day or priority mail is a cake walk. They have to use breather bags or O2 and methylene blue with styrofoam and pack the fish individually. I make a judgement call based on a number of things whether to go with next day or 2nd day, cost of fish vs cost of shipping, weather and the person doing the shipping etc. Also most all sellers don't offer a live gaurantee for 2nd day but that may be a moot point if you say pay $50 shipping for a $10-$30 fish then a live arrival guarantee means nothing as it will cost youanother $50. Just my $0.02

Thank you for your input. The fish is 75$ and shipping via 1 day is 100$ vs 60$ 2 day vs 50$ for general booking airport to airport.

I hear Charles at Canadian Aquatics has a good reputation, I will ask him what he thinks.
