He might be a little small yet. You can try offering him silversides or thin strips of fish filet, or small Hikari Gold pellets. If these don't work, I'd wait a little longer, and then try again. You can skip feeding for maybe two days, but don't go any longer than that, because you might affect his growth.
I fed mine some live swordtails till his belly was full.
Then i intended not to feed for 3 days, but within 2 days he was begging at the spot i feed my other fish.
I took a dead silverside, wiggled it just beneath the surface and he took it.

I starved for two days and then used frozen krill on the end of a plastic spear. Wave it back and forth just over his snout.
It took me literally over an hour of doing this before he gave in and ate it. Now he goes hogwild for frozen krill, with or without the spear.
