I have a Jardini Arowana that is about 3 inches. The store that I got him from was fedding him guppies. I really don"t was to keep on feeding him guppies so I tried other things. Frozen krill, blood worms, Arowana sticks, and color bits he won,t touch. The only thing he will eat are the guppies and crickets. Is there any thing I can do to get him to eat other foods?

Starve him!

It's a question of who has the longer will and who can last the longest. Fish can go up to a month without eating.

i agree. after a few days of not feeding him anything, try to introduce other food like arowana sticks, FBW and krill. if he ignores it, remove it immediately then try again the following day until you see him nibble on it then finally will try to take a bite of it.

this process needs a lot of patience.

yeah...
U got to wait for a while till he gets a little bigger.....

my jardini didnt eat for 6 weeks! and i was really really worried! but now i feed my bloodworm and pellets with live for a treat...like the 2 b4 me said, starve it and only offer it sumthing other than live.. and eventually it'll have to eat it

I think by popular demand with any fish is going to be the starvation method.

I will try not to feed him for awhile and then try other foods. This is my second arowana. My first one was a silver that was 12-14 inches and it would eat anything. So I was curious why it wouldn't eat the same things. I know this one is smaller but I guess it will take some time for it to accept other foods. Thanks

starve him, but trying different things at different intervals also help. my jardini would get used to a certain food if fed regularly and wont take anything else. thats why i kinda rotate feed after a couple of days and starving him at least one day up to 2 days every week
