so i have a juvenile ocellaris peacock bass, african pike(hepsetus odoe) and a ornate Bichir, i have the bichir eating carnivore pellets, and the pike to frozen krill... (want to get him on the pellets as well) but my peacock bass won't eat anything but live food, any suggestions?

thanks everyone

Starve him for a week then try other foods. I had to do it with both of my rtc. Now he eats shilrimp and night crawlers. They won't starve them selfs.

this is not true, fish can and will starve to death. since your other fish are takeing dead, offer just enough to keep him healthy, but hungry. they will watch tankmates and learn fairly quickly. once he reconizes the other food you can cut out the live foods altogether. krill is a great transition food from live, you may want to try freeze dried as it floats better then frozen.

Do NOT starve the peacock bass when they are juveniles as stated abouve! Start mixing crushed pellets with whatever your feeding him and start making the ratio of pellets higher and higher and the whatever your feeding him now lower and lower until your just feeding pellets. The bass will most likely spit the pellets out until he recognizes it as food

thats what he's been doing.. i guess it will just take some time, ill keep working on it

To add on to my "advice" feed a lot and and small amounts. You'll have to a lot of water changes to keep the water quality perfect, baby cichla are very sensitive to bad water quality.
